We are always accepting children of all ages and we welcome walk-ins. We aim to provide the kind of care that you want to tell your friends and family about. You will have the opportunity to meet with our team and get to know our Westchester pediatric dentist. We are committed to educating you about your child’s dental needs and will answer any questions you may have concerning treatment.

Midlothian Children’s Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry all recommend establishing a “dental home” for your child by age one. Studies have found that children who have a dental home are more likely to follow the recommended preventive care guidelines.

We want to make your child’s dental experiences positive and enjoyable on their first and every visit. To that end, we ask that if your child is old enough, talk to them about their appointment. Let them know they are visiting the dentist for an exam and cleaning and that the dentist and team will answer all their questions and explain everything they do during the visit.

Please refrain from using words that may cause your child unnecessary fear or worry. Some of these words include: needle, shot, hurt, pull, or drill. We will provide any information about treatments and expectations to your child, but we prefer to use language that educates without setting up negative expectations. We have found that children who expect to enjoy their visit generally do.

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest allowing our team to take your child through the dental experience. This allows us to develop a closer rapport with your child so we can gain their confidence and overcome any apprehension they may have about treatment. If you prefer, however, you are always welcome to accompany your child into the treatment room.

Our goal is to provide you with the highest level of dental care available today. Thank you for your confidence in Midlothian Children’s Dentistry and we look forward to meeting you.
